Painted Work
Although an old technique, the style of staining and painting glass underwent a massive revival in the Victorian era. Popular subjects included flowers, birds and rural scenes. If you want to keep a traditional street style, the subject that you choose for your painted centres can often be a way to personalise a work. Personal subjects have included, for instance, a place of special meaning, eg. the place where a couple married, or flowers that had personal meaning, or even in memory of a tree that had to be chopped down.
